Project Background
I worked closely with a senior copywriter to design and build a landing page for Hometown Grants, a T-Mobile initiative offering up to $50k for community projects.

The program did well, but was lacking overall submission. We needed to make sure it was clear anyone in the community with a great idea had an opportunity to win. The most common idea was to build a park, but we wanted everyone to know they could use the funds to help boost local businesses or create new income for the community.
Objective
• Increase overall submission for the program
• Make it clear anyone with a great idea had an opportunity to win
• Provide examples of projects that could increase revenue for the community
• Remove any confusion and ambiguity about the program

Wireframe exploration
We narrowed ideas to two wireframes for the first creative round. Both improved on the original version (shown on left) and we were eager to see which version our partners thought would achieve their goals and marketing objectives more effectively.

The Solution
The hero gave a quick summary of what the program was about and a CTA that took you directly to the sign up section.
Added a longer value proposition next to a short video that showed examples of previous project winners.
Highlighted the 3 most common questions about the program and answered them.
Included a quote from a winner that showed how simple it was to make a positive difference in their community.
Gave customers a visual of how easy it was to apply. The 3 steps are described to avoid any ambiguity and show customers it wouldn’t take very long to apply.
Displayed an example of how this program could also help generate revenue for a small community. Included a CTA’s to show the most recent winner and previous projects to help generate ideas for customers who wanted to apply.
Built a smaller section for the company logos that gave more information that the previous one.
Added the next set of most common questions at the bottom to help explain the program in even more detail.
